Great! looks really good. It looks a little short, compared the the land-based 172’s I’m around often. Maybe because it’s so high up, or maybe the windscreen? Anyway, great build!
Looks real good Earl. Nice to see some Civil models for a change. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Rick
Very nice Earl, makes me want to go fishing. Beautifull finish!

I’m usually into warplanes, but your’s caught my eye. Very interesting plane, and very nicely doe, I might add. I really like the blue you used. Keep posting your builds!
Very nice sir. Love the civy aeroplanes.
Looks great… gotta love floatplanes! Nice job!
Very nice, love float planes. I am become more of a civy fan if for no other reason then to break up the monotone theme of my display case. Thx for the look and keep them coming.
Firstly let me say great job on the kit and the paint job. Gotta luv the light civils.
She looks O.K. to me with respect to the length.
But I’ll say this with a bunch of C-172 time and quite a bit of C-172XP time as well…somethin’ ain’t right with those floats. The first thing is they look way too small to me, and the other is that they look canted. Is that how the kit specified them to be. I remember ( and take into account everyone’s on skis or wheels up here in Alaska right now), the float attachment points being located higher up on the float and not mid-float as they appear.
Just kinda kitbashing mind you as I’ve got the Modelcraft bird on my “things to do” list.
Hey salbando, where are you in AK?
Right here in lovely Eagle River. Work as a fulltime AK Air Guard rescue dude.
How 'bout you? Nice shot of the 206 breakin step prior to lift off at Lake Hood. As I’m sure you already know, you can hang out by the Aviation Museum or even Rust’s and get some great departure shots there. Our Pararescue section is actually located close by.
I’m doing the land plane version of this kit for a friend, his paint job and registration numbers. AMS and his scheme are driving me crazy.
Down here in Anchorage… about 1/2 mile from Lake Hood, lots of nice walks around the lake, esp in summer when there’s SO much traffic! Nice to know there’s someone else around here from around here!
