I took Hasegawa kit and blended front fuselage section with ARII kit. I also used Hasegawa gear (could have used whole engine/inlet area. I scratch built FOD cover. The ARII/Otaki kit is closest to YF-16. The Monogram and Tamiya kits are closer to FSD plane. I used resin Escapac seat. Colors are Xtracolor X321 (Saudi Tan) and ModelMaster Flanker Blue for air superiority blue. I went to high school at Edwards during testing of YF/F-16 program from 1975 to 1979. Yes, I have sat in the cockpit of this plane. My father ran the munitions shop (head NCO). He was Chief Master Sergeant at the time. He later was transferred to Hill AFB that had first wing of F-16As. My father is one in light blue shirt.
