This is my first post on this forum. I usually build airplanes, but also cars.
A couple of years ago I finished a Wing’s Model SOC3 Seagull. I had the kit in my stash for some years before gathering enough information to build it. It took me almost ten years on and off. I had to do a lot of scratchbuilding during the process: the interior, the float, the canopy and the whole rigging etc.

That’s a kit that’s long out of print, too. Wings used to sell on eBay, till the father passed away. His son was selling the remaining kits, but the Seagull was sold out by the time I found out.

Yes, ten years - on and off. The work really “took off” when I bought the Ginter book on the SOC. I met some trouble in the process, though and had to redo things. The most difficult part was the rigging. It’s made of laminated Evergreen strips with brass rod inside and elastic rigging thread from EZ-line and elastic transparent sewing thread from Prym.

Wonderful job. I’ve been looking for that kit for years and haven’t found one as yet. If I do find one, I’ve a P6 Catapult for it to sit upon. Hopefully, if I ever get to build one, it’ll come out as nice as yours.

Wow. Very nice work. It looks like you could just climb in and fly it away. You mentioned scratch building the interior. Would you like to share some photos that show more of that detail?

I’m glad you liked it. As you can see, I’ve posted some photos from my workbench.
I like to work with vacform and scratchbuilding. Now I have started the work on a 1 : 48 Halifax with Merlin engines. It’s an old Contrail vacform and quite a challenge. 
Double WOW! The interior truss works are amazing.
