Not my finest work, found this to be a difficult build, it’s a nice kit, plenty of PE and resin extras, but fitting it all in is another thing.
WWII Australian RAAF colours aren’t easy to come accross, (Lifecolor do sets, but I can’t get that stuff through an airbrush, and I have tried every type of thinner possible, so I don’t use it), fortunately, there is a newish Australian paint brand out which do Foilage green.
It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but finally it’s done. other paints used, Tamiya, Gunze, Mission Models, Vallejo Metal colour, Flory Dark Dirt wash and Vallejo Matte Varnish.
Great job on an aircraft I’d love to see more models of! Love her!!!
I think the white leading edges were for ID purposes. Seems a little odd to me since the Japanese used yellow. Just seems in certain conditions the white and yellow could be hard to tell apart.
I’ve never even heard of this model. I thought is was a Buffalo for a second when I first looked and then realized, Nope, that’s totally different. Man, that is a super nice build.
