1/48 JU87 Stuka kit?

Hi all…
I’m confuse over which kit to buy… hasegawa, monogram or revell? Thank you… It’s been a long long time (15 years ago) since I touch these scale models… Now, I’m coming back…

First off welcome to the forum and welcome back to the hobby! Im by no means a expert on which kits are best for German aircraft as I only seem to build US WW2 planes and the occasional jet. Good luck Im sure youll get plenty of advice on which to get.

Welcome back to the hobby, spyro.

This is a generalization, but Hasegawa kits are usually (9 times out of 10) much better than Revell or Monogram; by the way, Revell and Monogram merged, it’s now Revell-Monogram, or simply Revell.

Revell does have some excellent kits which are as good as Hasegawa. One example is their 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle, which came out in 1999 or 2000.

As far as the Stuka goes, if the “Revellogram” is not a newly tooled kit, I’d go with the Hasegawa. Hasegawa typically has better fit, finely recessed panel lines, better detail, etc.

[#welcome] Welcome back spyro. I would definately go with the Hasegawa over the Revell, unless you are planning on using various detail sets. Hasegawa does offer a lot of versions of the Ju 87. Welcome back.
Cheers,
Eric

Allrite then… I’ll buy the Hasegawa Stuka kit (9113)… Anyway, it’s cheaper than those 2… hehe…

Hey Spyro,

I just did a bunch of research recently on the same topic…and I came up
with a nice kit in 1/48 by Hasegawa which I purchased…

Here’s the link at www.squadron.com

I went with the Ju 87 G2 because of the price and the type of kit…

I checked it out of the box and it looks well done…I’ve built Hasegawa in the past and these will all be good choices over the other
brands you mentioned…

I’ve built the 1/48 Monogram and Hasegawa JU87’s (B/R version) and their both good kits (comparable actually). I’d go with the Hasegawa just because of the wealth of aftermarket goodies available for it. Although, I did get the monogram for $10 after shipping on Ebay - can’t beat that.

Spyro,

The Monogram ProModeler kit of the Ju-87R-2 (kit# 85-5975) is an ex-Hasegawa kit, and it’s a little cheaper than the Hasegawa offering, even though it comes from the same molds. Good Luck!!

I’d reccomend the ProModeler (Hasegawa) boxing.

There is also a Hasegawa Ju-87G-2… I think is the kit # 9054… I think this is the most beautiful of all Ju-87 versions…

I built the 1/48 scale Airfix JU-87 Stuka and was surprised at how well this kit was done.I liked the separate flap-acuators and the separate front hood that allowed me to put in a Roll models Jumo211 engine. Now I know that Airfix has a nasty rep(I Know that their 1/48 scale Buccaneer gave me fits!)but in this case they did a decent job on the Stuka.
