If this subject matter has already been covered, sorry for the redundance. I tried the search function but didn’t find what I needed.
Here’s the question: Where do I find some 1/48 decals covering Ira “Ike” Kepford’s F4U-1A Corsair “white 29” (VF-17 Jolly Rogers)? I guess Sky Models and Eagle Strike (Best Sellers Corsair Collection pt. 1) have offerings with those markings, but I can’t seem to find where to buy them. Help!
SuperScale made a sheet with Kepford on it. Can’t tell you the number, off hand, but I do have that sheet. You could look on-line at Squadron or Great Models to see if they stock it.
I’ve been searching for the same thing to do a ‘Then and now’ of the “Jolly Rogers”. It looks like the Ira Kepford decals are currently out of production. I’ve been searching various on-line retailers for a 1/48 “White 29” set. If I find something, I’ll let you know.
I may have an extra set of his markings, but I am moving and everything is packed up so might be a while before I can look for em.
I made a mistake. I’ve checked since my first post. It’s Aero Master #48-069 that has Kepford’s markings.

A decal manufacurer called ‘Techmod’ makes the Ira Kepford ‘White 29’ decals. I found them at this site:
Do a FIND on VF-17 and you’ll find them. They’ll list Super Scale but it’s sold out. THe one for TechMod is a little lower on the list. They have them listed as ‘in-stock’.
