I was applying decals onto a 1/48 Scale Monogram Dauntless and am robbing a lot of parts from a spare Hasegawa kit that I have had in the stash for a long time. I did not notice that the decal sheet is for a -3 (You would think that I would notice the red and white striped decals for the rudder). Any how I need a decal sheet for Hasegawa Kit # Jt20 if anybody’s got one they are willing to part ways with. I’ve already got this sucker painted up and ready for the decals. Sheesh!! Just when every thing was going so flawless with this build too. Thanks for any help anybody can be, Joe
You can always use “generic” USN/USMC decals in 1/48 from companies like “Yellow Wings Decals”. One set for the national insignia, another set for the numbers and you are there. Squadron insignia were not carried very often by most units. As far as the aircraft type and bureau number carried on the tail, you can cheat and use the kit ones most likely- they are small enough not to be worried about.
Thanks stikpusher. I appreciate the advice and the response. I’ve done that already so far but no luck with the letter designations.
New PM sent to you there buddy
