1/48 Hasegawa F-4F Phantom

One of my earliest completed models that I am finally getting around to posting here. Was one the first times using Mr. Color paints as well. For the wave pattern I used a pair of fancy scissors to cut out masking tape to shape.

Those old Phantoms were excellent kits.
Excellent work on yours

That they are, even when compared to more recent offerings. Plus there are still some that you can only get as a boxed offering from Hasegawa.

I’ve never built a Hasegawa Phantom. Need to fix that!

Yes, yes you should. Even more so since they are fairly easy to find and are not going to break the bank.

Only have to walk into the other room to get one, it’s just a too many models and not enough time issue!

Nice paint scheme on that F4. That yellow ladder sure adds a nice pop of color!

Saw this yesterday and thought I’d left a comment but…I guess not.
Your build up on this one turned out a real beauty for being one built in your early years of modeling.

These Hasegawa kits still hold their own against some of the newer companies that are turning them out as seen here with your example. I’ve only built one F-4 and that was the 1/72 Testors / Italeri kit back in the early 80’s.
