1/48 Fiat G.50bis (flying machine)

Hello everybody,

Inspired by italian fighters of WWII, I’ve started a short run model of a Fiat G.50 bis from company “Flying Machine”.

In a contest of the ugliest WWII aircraft, the Fiat G.50 will certainly be on the top [:)], but I love this plane.

It’s certainly due to the fantastic camos that can be realised.

The other source of inspiration is the terrific job realised by Werner Scheibling

His work was very usefull to me to detail the cockpit.

As you can see, the cockpit has been heavy weathered !! (Some of you may say : too much !!). I’m sorry but I can’t bear clean models.[:D]

Then I concentrated on the nice resin engine on which I’ve added details (pushrods for example).

As for the cockpit, I based my work on what Werner done so well.

I hope you like .

To be continued !!! [8D]

very nice work! I like seeing the out of the ordinary and you’ve selected a neat plane. Keep the pictures coming!

I love the weathering you put intot he cockpit. Very eye-catching and convincing. Especially the “leather” components. And the plumbing on the engine looks great too! Keep us posted.
