Hi Everyone,
Here is my second plane model since getting back into the hobby. The Revellogram 1/48 F-4J Phantom II ‘‘Showtime 100’’
I got the kit at a flea market for a Toonie so I had lots of fun trying new things like pre-shading and using clear blue on the exhaust. Unfortunately I ran into a snag with the wash stage of the project which I explained here: /forums/t/131896.aspx
Anyway, here are some pics. I hope you enjoy and any feedback is appreciated.
Denis

Thanks for looking.
I think it need a matt spray to finish it.
Very nice I have an F-4 on the books to build some time very soon.
@ Harshman II: Ya, that is the only step I have left. However, as I outlined in my linked post, the wash I did using Terpenoid Natural has left the surfaces tacky. After two weeks it is still tacky to the touch. Does anyone know if I can go ahead and put a flat coat overtop or should I wait until the plane is no longer tacky? I might try to put future on the tail to see how it reacts.
@ Goodness180: Thanks, the next plane I plan to do is a 1/48 Fujimi F-14A VF-84. After I wrap-up some armour builds or course.
Looks like a good Build. Shame about the wash. I’d wait it out.
Regards, Rick
Sorry you had the problems with wash. That’s what happens sometimes when you try new things.
Nice job otherwise.
Mark
I think it looks great. You did the Phantom proud.
Cheers,
Greg

That should be a good build too. Have you done any F-22 Raptor kits? I think that will be my next 1/48 scale plane. But their is so many out their its way to hard for me to choose what i want to do next and my hobby table is only big enough to do two kits at once.
What are you building for an armour kit???
Denis,
Looks good for your 2nd build since getting back in. I know when I got back in it took a period of adjustment.
Welcome back![Y]
Thanks everyone for the replies. Just to clarify, this was the 2nd plane I have done since getting back in. I have done other builds, mostly a few tanks and cars.
@ Goodness 180: Nope I have not doen an F-22 yet but may in the future. The armour kits I want to finish up are a DML Tiger 1 Late w/Zimmerit, Tamiya Leo 2A6, and Tamiya M4A3 Sherman that have been set aside for a while, all at various stages. I want to get them done before moving on to a new kit to stop the unbuilt pile from growing.
