Hello all, here is my latest build, this is for a SIG, overall it was not too bad a kit, but I would not do another one. I was disappointed with some aspects of the engineering of the kit, especially the landing gear. Considering it is Eduard I was expecting more.

Beautiful! How does that kit build up? Are there any issues to watch out for?

So what specific problems did you encounter with the landing gear?

Don

The rear landing gear does not have a set place to “push” in to, it sits flat on to the surface so you need to be careful lining it all up, also the front section of canopy has a large step against the fuselage.

Nice job, excellent work.

The kit isn’t Eduard. Its a re-box of the Heller kit I think? That kit is a bit crude, Eduard just included some resin bits and new decals. Looks like you built an amazing model out of it. Did you mask the camo? How did the new AMMO paints spray? Just as good as Gunze?

Thanks Nathan. Yeah I figured it was a re-box but did not know who it was originally. I used white tack “worms” and tamiya tape for masking, Ammo paints were ok, I did have a little trouble when I thinned some, but neat from the bottle they were fine. Very similar to Vallejo model air.

Well done, Grant!

Dat’s a damned delightful delta dude![:D]

Gary

You did a good job. If I saw that, I might have drilled out the gear and bay floor and inserted a brass rod as a locator pin. Might also provide some additional stability.
