as i said before, if i’ve got it and you guys choose it then i’ll have a go at building it[:p]
my preference personally is for a 109[:)], which as i said before will draw most people in i guess…
…also seeing how the guys over on the dark side[}:)] do it, the more common the subject the more fun people seem to have as people feel a little more “part” of the whole forum scene.
one final thought, we will need ED to make this a “sticky”…if a) we can sort ourselves out and choose something and b) if the editor is good enough to help us out!

heres my vote for the Corsair, I have the Tamiya F4U-1A
how bout we start a Poll? So far, the most mentioned are the 109 and the Corsair. Those 2 will be on the poll. If anyone wants to add to the poll list , please let us know so we can get this underway. Im sure some people may need to buy a few things. I know I do, especially if we do the 109.
Correction. I have the F4U-1A. That’s my vote. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m tired of seeing 109’s.

I like the idea of a group project, we’ve done that in our club a couple times. Maybe that’s something we can do in the future.
For now I think we should stick with the common kit idea, in 48th. And the Tamiya Corsair seems to be the leading contender.
Unless anyone has any objections, I’ll start a poll with three or four choices. I propose the following to be included:
Tamiya Corsair (any variant)
Hasegawa Bf 109G (any variant)
Hasegawa P-51D
I’ll start the poll tomorrow (Wednesday). If anyone has any objections to the above list say so. If anyone would like to suggest a replacement for any of the above or make an addition to the choices, please do so.
I’ll take the most popular/common suggestions and fly with 'em.

I would participate if a kit is chosen that I have. Don’t care what plane just as long as I already have it. My list as follows:

May still be in if a kit is chosen that I can get ahold of faily inexpensively too.
I have the Hasegawa 109 & P-51. I’d need to order the Corsair, but that doesn’t take long. Another nice kit, IMHO, is the Hasegawa A6M series.
The Corsair may be the easiest, for color scheme & masking.
The Bf 109 mottling could be difficult for some.
The P-51D may also be difficult for some, with the NMF.
The A6M canopy is a time-consuming mask.
Just some thoughts.
I got that Hasagawa Bf 109 G-6…[yeah]Lets do that. 
We could break this into 2 group builds, you know. 109’s and Corsairs. Otherwise, we’ll debate the subject for so long that nothing will ever get built. Any takers?

Sounds good to me as I have no desire to do a 109 in 1/48 and only a passing interest in doing the one I have in 1/72. This would mbe my first group build. I might actually give me better motivation. What time frame are we talking?
thats a great idea ! why dont we do the 109 and the corsair. so theyre from different theaters but at least we’d have one axis and one allie. I certainly would rather be building a kit than debating about one. So whos in?

Okay, so the general consensus seems to be ‘JUST DO IT’. Groovy. Why don’t we all just do whichever we want? The Corsair or the Gustav. Personally, I’m going to do both…

As far as a time-frame goes, I’d say one month. That should allow for plenty of time for aquiring kits if needed and completing the build. I know my Corsair will get underway this weekend!

A month sounds good. I’d rather save my G2 for the detail set, as I don’t know if its still available. I’ll either get a 109G variant or a Corsair, or both. Not sure yet, but I could probably complete both.
alright!![swg] sounds great. Ive already got my Corsair kit, si Im gonna order the detail sets , canopy, wheels, and whatever else I can find. Cant wait to get started! Should we make 2 different threads for the 2 aircraft or just keep one?
I don’t know about you guys but I don’t have enough time in my life to finish this kit in a month without seriously rushing.
