1/48 Bandai Opel Maultier (photos)

Greetings All!

I haven’t built much 48th armor or ground vehicle. This is an older build Bandai kit in 48 scale. I have a few others in the series (unbuilt as of yet). I do want to try one of the new 48th out now… I hear lots of good things about them.

Anyway, “Supply and Demand”, added a few details here and there, nothing too outrageous. Lots of equipment / gear laying about. Basic groundwork. All acrylic (Polly S and Tamiya) paints.

Hope you enjoy, all comments welcome!

Wow Bill,

I’m really impressed! [:D[

I know we’ve been talking via pm re 1/48 stuff but when you see a new friends work for the first time and it’s as good as this it certainly leaves me feeling a bit humbled after showing you my previous 1/48 attempts! [;)]

The StuG I’m currently working on is a big improvement on my old 1/48 stuff from when I first started out but this opel is beautiful.

Great stowage, the base is perfect and the actual vehicle is, imo, weathered to perfection and it looks great [*] x 10!

I hope to have the StuG completed tomorrow - you’ve got me thinking about a little base for her now!

Great work buddy - top stuff [Y]

Thanks for sharing,

Ben [t$t]

Certainly my pleasure Ben.

I am glad you like the photos… I’ll be looking forward to your finished Stug. I’m sure it will be excellent!

Thanks again

Bill

Nice to see one of these old gems built up. i never had one myself, but my friend had a Panther. It was very detailed.

Love the weathering and the base. Is it me, or does the cab portion look a bit tilted forward?

Thank you tigerman appreciate the kind words.

Y’know, It just may be at that. I built this some time ago, and to be honest, I don’t recall if I thought that was an issue or not… I’ll have to take a peek at it.
