1/350 scale USS NORTH CAROLINA BB55

How many of you are waiting on a NORTH CAROLINA class battleship in 1/350 scale? This is the most decorated battleship in the U.S.NAVY during WWII earning 15 battle stars for its actions. The IOWA’S are the subject of many models, but where is the USS NORTH CAROLINA BB55 and USS WASHINGTON BB56? Tamiya, Trumpeter, how about it ?

I love the battleships. They are my favorite subjects to model. But, I want the USS Texas. It was the latest and most heavily armed New York class battleship, dreadnaught class. It was the first battleship to be named after a souther state since the Civil War and it served in both World Wars. It’s very difficult to find any ship in 1/350 scale that is pre-WWII. I have Banner’s Arizona. Not quite as good as Trumpeter’s and Tamiya’s kits but it’s nice.

I agree, there is one Battleship class i would like to see in 1/350, plastic not resin.

Sssshhhhhhhh…be vewy vewy quiet…

Soon grasshopper…trust me.

Ohhhh Master Jeff
Please tell us when your students can snatch the 1/350 BB plastic from your hand (not the pebble)

Our “inside source” has spoken. So we wait.[;)]

Are we talking about the North Carolina or the Texas?

Both, I hope. Does the grand master have any vision into anybody making the HMS Hood in 1/350. I simply cannot understand how so famous a ship has eluded this scale except the WEM version which is no longer available and needed a second mortgage when it was. It is impossible to talk about the Bismarck without mentioning the Hood.

Alas,

When the grasshopper has bounced off the windshield and landed on the HOOD of your car, you will know.

Sadly, I think it was just outside of Raliegh-Durham, and not Dallas.

Someone said that when the snow melts in north, new things will be blooming…

Jeff and the Zen Art of Ship modeling…

Message received, Wallet awaits (trembling with fear).

Did I mention I’m not supposed to say anything? :-p

We will wait, and see what comes up.
Anything 1/350 is good, Texas, N.Carolina, Hood, Nagato, something, i just hope new battleships emerge from the mist.

You didn’t say anything.[:D] My speaker was quiet all day.[:p]

I have recently seen the light…errr…the reflection from the brass… This new logo will look nice on the HOOD of my car…oops, I did it again…

J

Anyone heard about the “Yellow Rose of TEXAS” yet?[C):-)]

Is it BB North Carolina or HMS Hood?
Big mystery is on the air, what will come out of the mist…

Ok Jeff,

If you can’t say “what” it is, can you at least tell us “When” we can be looking for the announcement?

OK guys Go back and reread this thread from the top. And remember Jeff’s flair for the dramatic, and where certian cites are located.

If you need a personal translation ask me and I will e-mail you, privately.

Now this is funny…lol…

You have to have a degree in geography to get any intel outta me!!

Jeff

Jeff, I think my light bulb came on a month or so back when you offered us some very cleaverly disguised clues. Actually I looked them in my my map book. As for when, my feeble mind may have also deciphered that one also. Thanks, Vince
