1/350 Scale USS Enterprise CV-6

I am interested in building the USS Enterprise (CV-6). But, before I buy it, I need to know the actual length to see if it’s going to fit where I want to put it. I did a search and one site said it is 38" in length; another said it is 28" in length. Any comments on which is correct? Any length on the 1/700 scale ship? I think this one will be a better fit. Thanks, all.

CV-6 USS Enterprise

810 feet long…

48.625 inches in 1/200th scale,
28 inches in 1/350th scale,
14 inches in 1/700th scale,

38 inches would be approximately 1/256th scale…

Thank you! That is exactly what I need to know. I appreciate this.

For future reference Brother…

From Wiki get the length of the item you want to model, in this case 810 feet…

Convert to inches… 810ft x 12in/ft = 9,720 inches

Divide by the scale you want your subject in… 9,720in / scale factor, (350 for example 1/350 scale)

9720 / 350 = 27.77142857 inches, roughly 28 inches in scale…

jbw857, what time period as in pre-war, early, mid or late war?
both navsource.net & the Booklet of General Plans states 824’9" oal = 28.2771" at 1/350 scale.
