1/35 UH-1N???

Did I hear some rumblings about a 35th Scale UH-1N kit coming soon? Hope so. Just got a look at one of the Marine November Hueys in Iraq. Impressive bird. It didn’t have rocket pods fitted, but the attachments were there. Had a .50 cal door gun too. Gotta build one now… along with the dozens of other projects I have going… WILL IT EVER END???

Panda has one on their pending list-gat a truckload of other Huey variants as well. Looks like My workbench will be getting a bit more crowded, I hope !

Anything heard about a 1/48 H-47 Sh–hook?

Of course, once the N-models hit the shelves, we’ll have to start work on our UH-1Y variants… has anyone paid much attention to these? They utilise the same engines and tailboom assemblies as the new AH-1Z, not to mention the all-new four-bladed rotor and tail rotor. For all intents and purposes, these will be brand-new helicopters despite the fact that they are to be rebuilt N’s (and in the case of the Cobra, W’s).

FITTER out

Fitter,

Yeah, the new Zulu Cobras are AWESOME. But coming up behind one of the new Y-Hueys is a strange experience. You’re thinking Cobra and suddenly there’s a passenger compartment and a Huey nose! VERY odd…
