hello everyone,
i just wanted your opinions on some model kits.
im thinking about buying a 1/35 armor kit and its between the tiger II Henschel production or the jagdtiger Henschel production.
name of the kits:
#### Dragon 6208 1/35 Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger Henschel Turret
#### Dragon 6285 Sd.Kfz.186 JagdTiger HENSCHEL PRODUCTION
please tel me what kit you would mostly reccommend and why if you like. thanks regards callum.
If you want a King Tiger, go for the later kit (6303) which has Zimmerit.
You may also consider the “Battle of the Bulge” kit 8254) which doesn’t require Zim and includes 8 figures and some other goodies like a turned barrel.
Since it bugs me when kit makers / modelers say “henschel turret - porsche turret” when referring to a Tiger II (both turrets were nade by Krupp), I will side with Pvt Mutt and say go with the JagdTiger
hello everyone.
thank you all for your opinions, i have decided to pick the king tiger with zimmerent, ill knock off the jagdtiger for my next kit. also whats the latest kit for the Tiger I from dragon in 1/35 scale?
thanks again.
regards callum
They make a nice late Tiger I w/zimm #6383,it too is very good, only thing it has DS one piece tracks instead of magic tracks, but the one piece are pretty nice and easy to use.
I’ve built the Ardennes KT by Dragon (6232 IIRC) and it builds up very fast and pretty much with no problems. The only thing I added were some aftermarket tool clamps. My only real beef with the kit were the instructions that used actual photos instead of the line drawings. Kind of awkward but its still builds up nice.
