Nice work! Perfect paint scheme for the season!
interesting subject, and nice technique on the whitewash.
Nice Horch TD4438, I have one in my stash…after seeing yours, I might have to move it up in my build schedule. Looks like it should make for a nice quick build.[;)]
Just one question, did the Germans really white-wash the spare tires too, while out in the field?
Nice work on this one, looks very “cold”! [;)] [tup]
Considering there are no indy links involved,it was indeed a quick build.
I’ve seen pics of GI’s spraying camo paint over mud and stowage,so I would imagine the Germans would have camo’ed the spares as well.
Thanks fellas. This was my first crack at a white wash using the Tamiya weathering powders.I’m happy with the result.
Hey TD4438 nice Horch! Hey would it be possible to get your first name? I normally do not post to people’s WIP’s that I cannot see their first name in their profile or in their post because I feel like I am typing to a Robot!
It’s Ed.

Cool! Nice to meet you Two Ed’s are better than One!!! HAHAHAHAHAH!! [:)]
Great job!!! [party]
That’s a very cool finish! Looks like you raced it in one of our New York Hare Scrambles offraod races! lol!
Very nice effect on the whitewash
Ed,
Well done on the white wash. It looks rode hard and put away wet and cold. Now watch out for the other Ed (Edmund), if you talk to him you’ll only encourage him and , he has a thing for road wheels. LOL. Seriously, he really is a good guy!
Your Horch fits the weather we are having in the Willamette Valley… freezing fog. Brrrrrrrr.
Cheers
Dave
Thanks fellas. The Tamiya powder worked like a charm. It goes on kinda thin and wears off easily,so you have to seal one coating (I used Testors dullcoat) before applying another.
I like that technique. It came out looking real good.
Nice looking Horch! If you’re up for another whitewash ('tis the season!) head over to Winter Warriors II…there’s going to be a BUNCH of them. [;)]
Thanks dupes.I’ll look into that.
**TD-**Nice work on the Horch! I like the white wash, any other gotchas while using them?
-Stephen[C):-)]
No gotchas.Ya just have to seal each coat of white-wash before applying another. The white powder especially comes off real easy.
If you want to wear it a bit,use a damp q-tip,paper towel or a brush to remove the wash from the desired location before you seal it.
