Does anyone know of anyone that makes rank and divisional insignia in 1/35 ? I hate to think that all of my US troops are only privates, and I just can’t paint the stripes on their sleeves. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Airfix had a decal sheet in the Multi Pose Marine set, but what about after market?
Archer Transfers;
Eduard has a set of color photoetched rank for German and US. The US includes the flags, rank chevrons, a couple medals, MP bands and unit patches. I dont know about the german ones. The are about $5 each. Squadron carries them. They’re very nice.
Verlinden also has a decal sheet of US (and I think they also have a German one available now too) insignia and a very limited selection of divisional patches (101st, 82nd, one of the Armored Divisions, 1st ID, 3rd ID, and a couple more which I can’t remember off hand). The rank insignia comes in two colors on one sheet: non-subdued for WWII/Korea, etc and “subdued,” which is more like a medium green for modern day. I liked the results so far. If I had a pic, I’d attach it, but I don’t right now. The sheet is titled US Insignia WWII to Present. Hope this helps.
