1/35 Preiser Figures

Does anyone have an opinion on 1/35 Preiser figures. I am considering the WW II street workers and the set with refugees. What is the quality of their construction, features, etc?

Thanks!

Leddy

Can’t speak directly to 1/35 Preiser, but I bought a set of 1/72 Luftwaffe figures over 30 years ago and they stand up quite well to anything offered since in that scale.

Hi Leddy

They are not that great. The faces and heads in general are the weakest parts. So a solution would be replacing their heads wiht resin heads (Hornet, etc.).

The good thing about them is the subjects and poses, because the traditional model brands (tamiya, dragon etc.) do not have civilians.

The prices tend also to be a little on the high side.

Here is an example of a few 1/35 Preiser figures I used in a diorama:

I am interested because of the civilian figures. Nice scene! The man in the trenchcoat must be speaking with someone.

Thanks!

Preiser figures are definitely not equal (in casting quality) to say DML/Dragon or the newer Tamiya figures; they can also tend to be a tad chunky looking, however, the subject matter provides a welcome relief for particular subjects–i.e. CIVILIANS!!! I agree as well that they can be a little high on the price side, but can be worth the cost if the set provides you with what you are needing to complete your scene. I have a couple of Preiser’s 1/35 Civilian and WWII German military figure sets and am glad I spent the $ for them! It’s all in your opinion/perspective.

…Master Box makes some 1/35th scale figure sets with civilian figures. They are distributed by Dragon USA. There highly detailed and reasonably priced. The sets are hard to find though.

Their series of Seven Years War Prussians is excellent, too.
