A while back I saw that someone had comoleted a 1/35 Jayhawk. I was wondering who the modeler was. I would loke to pick his brain.
HereI did a 1/35 MH-60J Jayhawk conversion. is the build thread on it. Let me know what advice you need, I am happy to help out.
Pretty much the little things I would need help with. Like the left side cabin windows. Was that scratch work or did you use a conversion. FLIR turret, tanks etc… That’s a nice build you did. I’ll re-read that thread and make some notes.
Nope, it’s all scratch. There is no conversion for an navalized H-60 fuselage. It is all pretty much explained in the build thread.
A few answers though. For the left side windows, I built up the frames using sheet styrene and the Cobra Company gunners’ bulkheads. The sliding parts are the cargo door windows from the UH-60 cut and detailed to be the individual sliders. The tanks are modified from the UH-60 as well. The nose radar is from the MH-60 kit with the mount for it scratched from sheet styrene as well. See a pattern with the scratch building here? The FLIR turret is from the AH-60L kit, but Cobra Company also has one in their sets.
The MH-60T will have a different cockpit and IP than mine though though. It has an all-glass cockpit. The rest will be pretty much the same though, with the exception of a few antennas.
MH-60T cockpit.
Let me know if you have any questions and good luck with it.
