I’m “Gobsmacked” also ‘Dizzy’ looking at it,[Y][Y][Y]…cheers…Kenny
Super cool!
MG well done[:D[! Not only am I impressed by the overall build and finish but your patience also!
Kind of reminds me of one of those pictures that when you look at it long enough you can see the little sailboat lol.
spacepacker- Thanks for the comments!
RBaer- Thanks for the checkin’ out the build!
panzerguy- LOL…sailboat, when I look at it too long I actually start to see a tank under the camo. Oh wait, I’m supposed to see the tank.[:P] Thanks for the comments!
mg.mikael: There’s nothing more that I appreciate than a unique winter camo’ scheme…and this one doesn’t disappoint! Well done overalll…l Iove the ropes, dirt and tracks. The patience it took to do this is admirable, and the execution and consistency is amazing…almost too good. That’s what I’d like to make a comment on.
I have to agree with Rick Lawyer about adding some fresh white here or there…and maybe even and extra thick wash or two in some stategic locations. Some pin washes of rust and some small rust streaks might help too. I absolutely love the look, but it lacks a bit of contrast.
Lastly, did you accent those weld seams? they seem a bit outta scale, too big.
Superb work mg!
Crazy man crazy, great job youve done on that. Looks very original[Y]
Michael, all I can say is “I’M SPEECHLESS” , You really pulled it off, truely stnning work. Now if I may say, find a competition and get yourself some awards with it.
Terry.
SMJmodeler- Thanks for the comments! LOL…too good. I see what you mean though, I did lay off the weathering, but now that you mention it I can see the benefit of adding some dirt here and there. Maybe I’ll get around to it, that is when I finally get some free time(that will probably be around spring break.[:O])
As for those seams, I did go over all the turret seams with one’s I made out of putty(my first time making seams, so it was a learning experience). I decided to add my own seams, since that’s were the two turret pieces connected. Thus their was a huge seam and that had to be covered, one way or another. Oh well, we’ll blame it on shoddy Russian construction.[;)]
Bodge- Thanks for the comments!
terry35- Thanks for the comments, glad you like it! As for a show, that might have to wait a bit(the next show scheduled in my area is in November…yikes!)
mg.mikael: I’ll be looking forward to any touch-ups you give her. If you don’t ever get around to it don’t sweat it! As you can tell from the rave reviews the forum has given you, this one is special. If your like me, the kudos are nice to hear, but some constructive input is also nice to have…that’s what I my comments were for intended to be.
Live and learn on those seams, huh? I get a bit heavy handed on stuff like that too.
SMJmodeler- No worries, I always appreciate some constructive help(no pun intended) and tips. That way my next white-washed build will be even better…though this build did raise my bar up pretty high.[;)]
Nice, real nice.
I’m crosseyed, but WOW!
G
agentg- Thanks for checkin’ out the build and for the comments![:)]
