1/35 Faun SLT-56 Tank Transporter Bargin (I Think?)

I was picking up a jar of paint at the LHS today and the guy behind the counter points to a table of kits telling me its old stock stock its going out the door at 1/2 marked price. Looked through the pile and hit by the big kit at the bottom. Faun SLT-56 Tank Transporter, marked at $90. I’d always wanted one but never wanted to shell out the money so I figured $45AUD for a kit that size, BARGIN. So I Snapped it up. Apperentley had been sitting on the shelf since release and other than the original special orders no wanted one, cant say I blame them for the original price.

A couple of questions if anyone knows the answers. While these is a German vehicle is there any reason it can not be carrying an allied country’s armor?

Anybody know if Germany has used these dudes out of europe?

I’ve seen pics of this in in IFOR Bosnia & I think A’stan in UN colours, with up-armoured cab … ([I])

This is different to the SLT50 Elefant, which is cross-country capable, the SLT56 Fransiska less so, conversions possible… ([I])

You will have to google for others though Belgium is a good bet, they use loads of german kit.
