'There was some fitting issue of the wheel but a great detail kit overall. Still many flaw but 90% capture the look of this soviet vintage. I think is a must for any armour fan.

A very nice weathering on this one! What struck me though, is the deviation from the soviet “norm” which would be the red star marking on the vehicle - more likely to be found on Chinese or North Korean vehicles than on soviet machines. Then there are the wheels - on some vehicles, especially when they are new, the hubs are black. In soviet truck factories they used to have a norm for painting all undercarriage parts black. Of course they could then later be repainted in service.

Actually, the star will only be painted during the Soviet march pass parade… Since the original Scud B has nothing to ident it as Soviet varies. I purposely added the stars as a mark of Soviet Iden althought this is definitely not parade condition [:D]

I see you can position the scud in transport mode as well as firing mode. Does that work well or does it put entire build off kilter?

Regarding yr question, it works well but for my case, I have to make the lever non connected to the launcher. Meaning, I have to manually put back or extended it while lifting or putting down the launcher. Becos the lever of the launcher extended in 3 parts. You need to sand it properly for the 3 parts lever to fit while at the same time, can’t sand too much. If not, the lever will be too loose.
But I think the paint did create friction between the gaps and the launcher will not suddenly fall down. [:D]
Great job, a really nice-looking vehicle. I too, have heard bad things about this kit, but you seem to have done it justice.
I have one of these kits myself–I want to do it in an Iraqi or Iranian scheme–I have a good photo of it from Newsweek years ago. A neat camo scheme in browns, sand, and white.
Now that’s just plain cool!
