1/35 DORA Railway Gun

Hello,

I just got one of these kits and, wow! But, I’ve only got the instruction manual - I can’t find a painting guide anywhere. Does it even come with one? If it does and anyone has one, would they be willing to scan a copy for me and email it to me? I’d apprecieate any help. Thanks!

There was no painting guide for the kit, doing reasearch I found a color picture with Hitler lookig at the gun. It looked black, but the consensus is that the gun was dark grey. the colors of other rail guns. go buy your self a set of decals from PENDDINGHAUS-DECALS out of germany. I made the mistake of painting the gun black, but I havent decald yet so lots fo bottles of Tamiya XF 63 German Grey ought to do it. There is a book out there in German on the Dora and other German rail guns , be prepaired to pay 200 + i HAD IT but I sold my copy when I finished the kit one day I will repaint and decal the beast but for now it covered with plastic.

good luck, study thoes instructions hard, if I remember there is a part shown in backwords and allow lots of room to build. Trumperte is releasig a steam engine used to push this beast around, but you would need 2

I had mine on ebay and couldn’t sell it…[:(]

Definitely not a kit for the space challenged…a niche kit for sure…

Thanks Sherman! I’ll order some right away!

Firecaptain,

It is nice, indeed! I’ve looked at the parts and, well, am almost overwhelmed. I plan to have this as a side project so that I won’t work on it too much at one time and not catch “hurry-up disease.” And, as far as having space for it, I’ll worry about that when the time comes…I have plenty of room to work on it, but no good space at the moment to display. Oh, well. Thanks for your reply!
