1/35 Batman?

I recently completed Bandai’s new Batmobile from Batman Begins (see my post in the Armor section), and I was thinking about getting/making a scale Batman figure to match. Any suggestions?

Andrea Minitatures makes a Batman (called “Caped Crusader” for copyright issues), but judging by the pose of the figure I doubt that it will fit in a dio with a batmobile.

Here’s the one I made:

I had to add the logo on the chest, since it was missing; I suppose for the same copyright issues I mentioned above.

Avus

Yes, the yellow and black symbol is in fact a copyrighted logo. Originally, there was just a black shape on his chest and in the 1960s when the TV show was about to debut, DC wanted to trademark it for merchandising purposes. Well, they couldn’t trademark just a black bat shape, but if you add a yellow oval around it you can.

Plus it helps the printer get the colors in proper register when printing (that’s also why his belt is yellow).

Avus, that Batman looks really cool! You capture the classic comic hero very nicely!

I pulled up the Batman figure pic as shown on the site:

He is 1/32 scale, so very close to the car’s scale. If I remember, there is or was a 1/32 scale 1960s style batmobile model that would go with this if available.

A creative modeller could incorporate the new car and the figure with some kitbashing skills and make a very intriguing “Gotham Diorama,” doing away with the eagle head and perhaps having Batman perched on a fire escape or somesuch in a dark alley, with the car on the ground below? I’m wagering this figure would look quite sharp in the black costume. Since there is no bat symbol in the mold, it would make for a more adaptable character.

I have to say that is a really tempting thing to pursue for me now!

Oooooh so many ideas, so little time…

Thanks!
When I got the figure I was considering painting it black like the movie Batmen. But looking at the reference material (movies) I figured it would involve more modifications than I was willing to make so I decided to make the comic book version with brighter colors.

You can always go to the store and buy an action figure from the batman begins line or cheaper on EBAY!!!

Yes, you could, but are those “action figures” 1/35 scale?
