I am still sticking to the Edwards AFB theme. I have seen this a/c fly. I took Trumpeter kit and backdated it to pre production. I had to change: wing fillet, pitot tube, seat, inst. panel, nose gear, etc. I had to sand off flare dispensers. ALOT of sanding, I like the aircraft gray scheme. This aircraft started with 20MM. The 30MM wasn’t available when this went to air. I had to replace the kit 30MM with 20MM. I used gun from Hasegawa F-16 FSD. This plane went through many changes later in it’s life.
Very cool! It turned out great!
Very nice! Raymond
Thank You
What was the tail number of this bird. I knew a guy who worked offshore that worked on the very first batch, of A-10’s, a real short dude, nickname of “Frog” from Louisiana. I was doubting him until I found a picture of him next to an A-10 in a book later on.
Nice looking build, you have any more pics.
Sweet build!
Aircraft Gray really is an eye pleasing color. It looks real good on your YA-10A there. I’ve only seen in person those Hogs flying in their original early production MASK A-10A scheme and later their Charcoal Lizard scheme. Unfortunately I have not seen an A-10 flying in many years…
Do you have any more photos of this build?[;)]
Sorry, have had internet problems on/off for about a year. I do have other pics, but it is very hard to add on here. TY Shawn G.
Great work! The A-10 is one of the best aircraft of all time. Imho
Very cool ! Turned out great !

If you hadn’t listed all the changes you made I never would have known you did that. What a super job bringing this kit to a transformed life.
