Clear coated the wood and let it cure for a couple of days, now adding the artist oils
That varnished plywood effect looks great! Well worth the trouble. I can’t wait to see them come together.

While I’m waiting for the oil paint to dry figured I’de tackle the top side of the wings
2 layers of oils applied to the top wings, one black followed by brown
Tops with and bottoms without to show the contrast
They will get some more after the decals have been placed and cleared over
Back on these after a few ‘relief’ builds
