1/32 Me109E?

There seem to a fair number of 1/32 Me109G kits out on the market, but what about the E? Is the Hasegawa kit the only one available? [?]

Im sure someone will beat me to it, but if noone has gotten abck to you by monday I can check the system at my work (HobbyTownUSA) and see what we are able to order. Im sure there is a few more… Maybe Trumpeter or Revell maybe?

EDIT: I just checked my Tamiya and Revell 06 Cat. and didnt see anything. Dont knwo about Trump or HAS yet.

The elderly Hasegawa kit is the only one I know of at this time. Wait a while & Hassie or Trumpeter will release a newly tooled kit.

Regards, Rick

If you lucky, you might find Matchbox’s old 1/32 109E around on ebay or at a swap meet.

Don’t let the Matchbox label put you off, it was deffinitely one of their better kits, very nice detail inside and out for the time frame.

Here’s a 109e on eBay, the Matchbox version upnorth mentioned, actually.

Price isn’t bad- US$8.00. And it’s buy it now, too.

Do you happen to know if the kit has recessed or raised panel lines? (Raised panel lines are evil… lol)

I’m just amazed that there is no modern 1/32 kit for the Emil… I hope Trumpeter steps up to the plate on this one, I’d stand in line overnight to get one! [8D]

Its been a while since I saw the kit, but as I recall it had recessed panel lines and they were actually pretty good, not the trenches Matchbox was better known for.

Heare’s a build up article I found of the Matchbox kit. Sounds good on the whole with just a couple of things to watch for.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. Thanks upnorth for the link, it seems there are a couple of fit issues with the kit, but I think I’m up to the challenge. I love the way that E-3 turned out in the review, fantastic paint job. I’ll pick up one of those kits on e-bay in then mean time while I patiently wait for a new release.

I just broke down and bought one with the buy it now on eBay, that kit was haunting me… LOL

Now… aftermarket decals… so few choices… lol There are only a couple sheets available out there, but a couple look interesting.

i remember building one of them when i was young, the fit wasn’t bad, and it comes with engine details and even a pilot figure, as did other matchbox kits!! i demand pilot figures in 1/72 scale for kits!!
