1/32 Hasegawa FW-190 A

Old school kit ….

Old school indeed! Complete with classic box art.

Omigod!

A Foke Wolfe with a Swastika, On the cover of the box! How rare!

yes It is an older kit I think from the 70s when such things were tolerated.

Assembled and primered the engine I am impressed with it!

Mounted up the engine and front cowling, fit was not bad .

Put the landing gear and put the wing sections together …

Had some trouble joining the wings to the fuselage had to sand and file the surfaces and there are gaps between the wing root and fuselage.Typical of older tooled kits! guaranty bank near me

As usual, the 3M Automotive Spot Putty dealt with the Seams after wet sanding with 320 grit wet/Dry sandpaper.

Decided to go with the black 5 paint scheme.Painted the airframe light blue ,although it was not really necessary to paint the upper wing surfaces, which will receive the dark green/black green cammo .

dell laptop shift key not working

Cammo applied…

Made a paint shield for the yellow cowling ring to prevent iverspray.

Was successful!

Yeah, that’s looking really good! Sad to say, but I remember seeing that box on the store shelves! I could never buy it though, it was worth a couple weeks allowance.

Yes I too remember that kit in the 70s but it was too expensive, best I could do was the old 1/48 Monogram white box version!

Painted the lower wing tips…

Added the decals ,some took a long time to release from the paper!

The FW-190 is looking great! Old kit but in the hands of a master modeler it’s turning into a real gem.
