I would like to build a 1/32 F-4 Phantom in Thunderbird markings but have been unable to locate an appropriate decal sheet for this scale. I would like to airbrush a majority of the red and blue trim but will need decals for the multi-nation flags and Thunderbird logo on the side of the Phantom. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
Just a thought, if you are doing the upper markings with paint, the TB on the belly is a walk in the park.
Try going to www.BrookhurstHobbies.com. Click on CAM Decals. The number you might be looking for is 32-063. I looked last night, (Tuesday, April 9) and it was listed as “Not Available” which in most cases is dealer speak for “Out of stock, not sure if we will get any more.” If you cannot get a set, let me know via this forum. If you want to try making your own masking, I’ll copy mine and send them to you. I think the F-4 is an excellent show bird, she is big and loud! I had the opportunity several times to do a mid-air refueling with the T-Birds. They are awesome! It sounds like you are a veteran. In that case, thank you for your service to our Country! Remember, “All gave some. Some gave All!”
If you can’t find the CAM decal sheet, you can get somebody with an ALPS printer to make the flag panel, T-Birds badge, crew names, and tail numbers. Unfortunately, it won’t be cheap. If you want to go that route, PM your e-mail to me and I’ll send you some reference drawings & photos that might help the decal maker.
Cheers!
