1/32 F-14B BombCat

@cml,@Dre…Thanks

Paintwork is on going for the bombcat…decided to go with a low visibility scheme(VF 103 Jolly Rogers AA-100/162918

Photo by Dana Potts

Did some lazy pre shading …I’m going to try and keep this beast clean[^o)]

Did some tweaking on the chin pod by placing a real glass lens(Carl Zeiss) from a broken PC cam[8-|]

Laxzy pre-shading? That’s some of the neatest pre-shading i’ve seen!

That rivet detail is just fantastic. The build is coming along nicely.

Also, good pick on the Jolly Rogers scheme! I’m going to do mine is the VF-84 Jolly Rogers scheme.

Is this one the VF-84 or VF-103?

Low viz is so dull looking.

After all the body work, I’m really looking forward to the painting. Can’t wait to see how the replacement lens works out as well…

Where did you find the zacto intakes? I have the same trumpe kit except the D model and would like to get a hold of some of those.

Found it. I gues it would have helped to try Zactomodels.com before asking dumb questions.

here’s the link… Zactomodel

sorry for the late reply

Me likey!!

Nice! “Danger Zone”–best song Kenny Loggins ever did![Y]

Somebody brought a half-built 1/72-scale Tomcat to last night’s meeting of our local IPMS chapter.

No problem Bimski. Like I said I probably should have looked before asking dumb questions. However, whst about the machined probe? Did you make that yourself or was it a purchase? If so please do share the link. Otherwise awesome looking build going there. Probably will blow mine out the water…once I get around to doing it.

@Reaper420… ( http://master-model.pl/ )

Bimski which website did you order from that master model said to go to? Ive gone to a few of them but none of them seem to have THAT particular part listed or available. Need help ASAP!

@Reaper420…got the probe from ultracast ( http://www.ultracast.ca/ ) last i chk they have 9 in-stock

Finish plane …going to add the weapon next [;)]

Wow!!! [:D] The whole thing looks awesome - where to start?

The paint job is just spectacular - love it.

The decals on the vertical stabs look unreal - were they decals or dry transfers? Look like they’re painted on.

The exhausts look like real metal.

I’m glad you posted this wip - something for me to aspire to when i get around to mine.

Congratulations on a great build.

Love it! [Y]

@cml…the decals are from trumpeter… best applied on a clear gloss and sealed with a flat finish

@buckeye…thanks
