There’s not an FSM category for Snow Vehicles! NeOmega have just finished a 1:25th version of their 1957 Trans-Antarctic Tractor kit. It’s a full 3d printed kit with decals. Something different here maybe?

Yes, very different. I’ll be following this build.
Considering the scale and level of detail, the price is good.
Neato burrito! You don’t often see specialized arctic vehicles on the model shelves. Anything new and different is always a treat to see. At 1/25, that looks like a big model.
I wonder if the mainstream kit makers will take note and do a series of these oddities in 1/35, along with sets of crew in arctic gear? It’s a different world down there, almost like another planet - Hoth? ![]()
I worked on the McMurdo Station kitchen design around 25 years ago, and read through the safety/survival manual. Fortunately the architect decided it was too hazardous for his consultant team to go there. So he ended up having the contractor perform final inspection and to take photos.
I was also spared going to Kahoolawe Island for another job. Anyone going had to sign a waiver for injuries or death by unexploded ordnance.
For those who didn’t know, Kahoolawe was used as a live bombing range.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing your model build up!
Maybe Takom? They did the M29 Weasels and Bandvagn BV 206s Articulated APC.
NeOmega do a 35th version, with penguins and Hillary too! ![]()
Very coo subject! Looking forward to this build
Welcome back the the forums Neomega_Gord! Interesting subject matter. Will be following along with this build.
