1/25th and 1/16th kits?

Hello to All,

Would like to get some information on 1/25th and 1/16th kits.

What kits are available in each scale? Specifically kits of WWII subjects.

I have a Panther G, Jagdpanther and T-34 in 1/25th. Would like to find a Sherman and Tiger in the same scale.

What WWII subjects are available in 1/16th? Any estimates on the costs of various static kits?

Thanks for any and all help in this matter.

Regards,

Joe [:D]

My apologies to all for the double post. Have a very slow dial up connection and didn’t realized what had taken place.

If the site administrator sees this and would be so kind as to delete the second post I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Joe

Why don’t you go to an internet site like www.greatmodels.com and go to category 1/25 or 1/16 aromor. Theres a bunch.

In case you missed it, here’s the reply you had from your cross-post to the “other” board with the same question;

http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=67306&page=1

It seems you have the 1/25 stuff nailed down, so here’s what I know in 1/16 off the top of my head. Some of this stuff is long out of production.

T-34/76 Mod 42, Mod 43 - Trumpeter
T-34/85 Mod 44, Mod 44 UTZ - Trumpeter
SU-85, SU-100 conversions for above kits - Imperial Modelbau (available through Backyard Armor)
Tiger I early - Tamiya
Tiger I late conversion kit - Backyard Armor
M26 - Tamiya (not available as static)
King Tiger, Porsche and Henschel - Tamiya
Tiger I Late - Bandai (1/15)
Hummel - Bandai (1/15)
Stug IV - Bandai (1/15)
Nashorn - Bandai (1/15)
Panzer II “Lynx” - Cromwell
Tiger I late - Verlinden (1/15)
Stug III F2 - Verlinden (1/15)
Panzer III Ausf M - Verlinden (1/15)
Panzer II Ausf C - Verlinden (1/15)
M3A1 Stuart - Verlinden (1/15)
M113A2 APC (D) - Verlinden (1/15)
Panther Ausf A - Verlinden (1/15)
SturmTiger - Verlinden (1/15)
SturmTiger Conversion for Tamiya Tiger I - Backyard Armor
JagdTiger Conversion for Tamiya King Tiger - Backyard Armor
Bren Gun carrier - Verlinden (1/15)
JagdPanther - Imperial Modelbau (?)
M4 Sherman - Tamiya

Chances are there’s more out there, like I noted, this is what’s off the top of my skull.

Jeff

Hey All,

ygmodeler4,

Sorry about not being more specific in my post. I have checked out several on-line shops, but wanted to know if there were other kits that might be OOP, but still available through individuals, E-bay, etc. I did come across an old Tamiya T-34 in 1/25th and I don’t think any shops would have that in stock.

nfafan,

Yes, I did see the response to the other post, but thanks for calling it to my attention.

Jeff,

Thanks for the list, it will definitely give me something to check out.

I appreciate all your responses. Thanks much.

Regards,

Joe

Hello All,

Thanks for all the information.

Looking at the prices of 1/16th, I’d have to say that will be for a later time, if at all.

1/25th isn’t too bad price wise, but was really hoping to obtain a Sherman and Tiger. The Tiger looks to be a possibility, but without the Sherman, not sure I want to get any deeper in to 1/25th.

Really appreciate all of you taking time to lend a hand.

Regards,

Joe

Panther !

You wish Sherman?! You can get here http://www.franklinmint.com/product1.aspx?SID=2&Product_ID=815 .They have 2 camo version.I know it looks like toy for some of us ,but i will try to do conversion .

Hi PITERPANZER,

Not that it would make much difference, but the Sherman is 1/24th and not 1/25th. Would like to keep everything in the same scale and $195.00 is out of the question for me. It’s just too much money. I’m not a collector. I try to build and keep things within reason (for me).

I’ll have to stick with the smaller scale. Large scale is nice, but I’ve got too much invested in 1/35th to take a serious attempt at the larger scale. I have some 1/25th and 1/16th. May build what I have left or may just try and get rid of the unbuilt kits.

Regards,

Joe
