I have posted a WIP for this model but had no idea how to change the title, so here are the finished pics. This took me toooo long with all the starts and stops, probably a year and a half, but its finally done! I did not have the upper cowl tipped all the way back onto the windscreen as it blocks the view into the cockpit.

Nice work there. Really looks great. I’m scared of those big kits because I am afraid I would find myself overwhelmed with trying to add details. You nailed it. It looks just fantastic.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. It is big- just barely fits on my shelf.I had wanted to do a few other 1/24 kits, but due to the size, I don’t think I will. The camo is from the Eastern front, JG 54, I think. This was applied in the field, overspraying the factory paint.

Wow, that’s simply stunning. I love the camo, and I really think you nailed all the small details, with even things like the locked gear indicators done right. Very, very nice job.

FYI to change the title of the post, just edit the first post and you can change it there (for future reference). But this deserves its own thread as a completion.

That really looks nice. Big build indeed. I did a 1/24 -D9 a while back so I can appreciate the size even without the handheld shot. Well done.

Amazing! The detail in the engine is stunning. I had a 1/32 Fw-190, but it was shot down and didn’t survive the crash with my floor. What brand is the kit?

Silentbob: its an MPC rebox of an Airfix kit. Just had some different decals, I don’t think there were any changes to the parts. From some time in the 80’s. Bought it in a plastic bag from a model show for $20
