1/144 GM Vs Z'Gok :FINISH HIM !!!

For bit of change here’s the Gunpla diorama I’ve finished recently.
If anyone watched the original MG Gundam TV series there’s the famous scene where Zeon’s Amphibious MG Z’Gok infiltrated Earth Federation Forces’ underground HQ Jaburo and destroyed EFF mass production MG GM by piercing its chest area with its metal claws.

The idea of this diorama came about one day when I was thinking of building the diorama depicting the same scene using 1/144 scale kits. However seeing how many times it’s been done over and over again I thought what if I swapped the roles around. Also having the spare GM and Z’Gok from my initial attempt at the building the diorama made things much easier and probably quicker.

And this is the result of that one silly idea…
Just don’t ask how MS’s manipulator can penetrate the armour plates… ^ ^

If you are ineterested in the WIP I’ve posted the summary over at Sci-Fi section.
Enjoy and welcome any criticism…

I dont have a clue about what you’re talking about but it IS a cool dio, with lots of action and good presentation!

Great poses! Shouldn’t there be some kind of hydraulic fluid running out of the back of the big gray one there where his back is blown open? Just a thought…?

You are right about the oil running out but I haven’t figured out how to represent that at 1/144 scale… Thought of using thin wires with drops of paint coated and hung from the back but when tried that looked rather silly…

Why not just paint some oily-looking streams coming out of the hole? You don’t necessarily need to show it spraying out…just runs and drips would look fine! [(-D]

The two mobile suits look very nice. And the damage on the Z’Gok is very well done, the eye on the Z’Gok looks almost real. The base looks very good also. Someone has watched alot of G-Gundam… [:-^] Keep up the good work!

Many thanks for Zlpla!

That’s way cool!

Oh man I really dig this diorama…something different for a change, and well done!

I agree. I love the action in it.

change the titles of the diorama…

it’s reference to MK in case you are wondering~

I saw that and my first thought was “That’s Awesome!!” It really shows a sense of movement and actions, something that is kinda hard to do most of the time, IMHO.

For the hydraulic fluid, why not some clear amber or clear orange paint? I think that fluid is amber, isn’t it? I would put a good amount in the opening and let it trickle down or blow on it a little to get it moving. Put some on the ground, too maybe splattered on the rocks.

Really cool, very well done.

Dj, think you could make a wip about how you made the base? it looks great
