Got the final bits and pieces put on the engine. Tried using Testors square bottle Flat Rubber for the serpentine belt, but it looked to brown to my eyes. Painted over that with MRP Black Leather figure paint…LOVE how well that stuff hand brushes and covers.
I’ve enjoyed building several Tamiya 1/12 kits but never a sports car. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress.
Thanks for watching, Jeff. Somehow I over-wrote my original post with the latest progress, so the engine is finished now.
Next its on to arranging the major pieces of the monocoque chassis…and then the daunting process of laying in the aftermarket Tamiya carbon fiber decals on all of it to make it look like the real thing. But, I figure if I can handle the hundreds of decals I just finished on my F-4, I should be able to slog through this too. [cwby]
