Born in Michigan as a war baby, I was raised in many states, mostly Texas, Oregon and California, although, off and on, Arizona and Utah is now my home for the past 15+ years.

I am returning to Scale Modeling after a 20 year hiatus. Things have changed. No more Floquil or SNJ paints and discontinued and new kit and paint companies and techniques and terms like gouache. What the ding dong is that?

I am most impressed with the quality of photographs in FSM. My 5.2 megapixel camera doesn’t make nice closeups like that. What are people using to take sharp well lighted pictures? I have not seen any FSM hints on that subject, but I am only starting to collect the fantastic publications available.

I am open to anything and everything that you wondereful contributors have and are putting out. I am amazed at what you do. I have about 175 models that have been collecting during this time. I am eager to get started again.
