Born and raised in Iowa I built about ten models as a kid with the last one when I was 12 years old.
They were glue bombs with Testor’s tube glue and enamel paint slopped on with my (one and only) trusty paint brush. No details. No shading. I don’t think I ever used more than two colors on any given piece.
Then, at 12, it all came to an end when I discovered music and became a drummer. No time for models.
Jump to today…Now, at 60, I’m no longer playing and needed something to fill the void so I decided to try modeling again but this time I want to build them with detail and precision. Well, as precise as my shaky hands will allow anyway.
