Like many others on this site I’ve been away from modeling for a loooong time - 60 years or more. Old guy here. On a whim I bought a 1969 GTO because it was my wife’s first car. Although I had a blast building it, I did a pretty bad job. Then I found this website & after looking around for a while, I decided to give it another try.
I made cars as a kid - a few planes, maybe a ship or two - but mostly, I made cars. I loved AMT kits because so many of them came with parts for multiple versions. I always tried to use as many of the parts as I could. My cars were always fun, even if they weren’t exactly well-done. But I got better - my cars looked cooler.
Apparently, one day I just stopped. I guess I got busy doing other things. So, I’m trying again. But, I made the GTO like I was still 13. I’d like to make my next car like an adult. I’ve bought my next car - a Jaguar XJS V-12 by Hasegawa. I owned an XJS for 18 years. I want this to look good.
