Are there any decent references, or websites out there that deal with Ancients…I.E. no photos back in the day. I have a decent imagination, yet wish to be accurate as well. My guess is that it would require alot of reading & general guesswork. My goal is to complete a diorama using the Mongols & Russian Knights, yet not sure if they would have ever fought together or I should just do them as seperate units. Also need sugestions on appropriate color schemes and ideas on what makes the best method for painting 1/72 scale figures in general.

The Mongols generally wore earth colors, with some bright “rank/honor” decorations. They were a nomadic people that basically lived off the land, and their flocks that they took everywhere. Those flocks of goats and horses provided food, clothing and shelter for them.
The Russian Knights I know little about, but there are probably several others that are more knowledgeable and can lead you in the right direction.

Duke, thanks for the reply! Do you think it would be appropriate to include a goat or stray horse along with these Warriors, or would they have had some form of base camps from which their warring parties would have taken off from? Huck.
