Hi friends,

Just fininished my 3rd Russian jet Su33 (after the Mig25 & Mig27).

It’s built oob. Mask was used for camo painting. Hope you like the pics

Terrific looking Sea Flanker. Camo scheme is quite well done. Which kit is this and what paints did you use for that fine paint job?

The kit is from Zvelda. I used “Mig 7208” air set for this Su33. The light grey is actualy quite closer to while so I add a bit of grey to make it more grey.

Very nice build paint and camo job excellent I’ve always had a thing for any shade of blue I build armor never seen a tank with that camo color I might have to build a su33 just so I can use those colors. GREAT BUILD!

Thanks cnq. I also have that paint set and it’s good to hear your feedback. Otherwise, how did they work out? I paint mainly with enamels but, I picked up the set on a FB auction for rather cheap. I have 2 1/72 Hasegawa SU-33’s and a SU-27. So, I’m always looking for paint options.

This paint set works very well. I use a bit thinner with it. It sprays smooth like butter.

Like I mentioned above, the light grey color is too white for me so I added a bit of grey to darken. Other than that it’s a good paint set for Flankers as the blues seem to be accurate. I’m working on a 2nd Flanker at the moment.
