I’m wondering if ALL Panzer IVs from late 1943-September 1944 had Zimmerit, or if there were exceptions. Anybody know? Thanks!

Any Panzer IVs built during that time should have come from the factory with Zimmerit applied. Could there have been exceptions? Possible at the beginning and end, but not too likely.

From an old friend whose now in the Model Shop in Heaven(Probably runs it by now!) Some Zimmerit was field applied on new tanks delivered to their units.(Probably one of those thankless jobs that was for slacker punishment!) T.B.
