Zero

This is a Hasegawa Zero I built 4 years ago it has a Edward PE set. It has a MM Metalizer Aluminum undercoat. The wear spots along the panel lines i pick off with a toothpick. Some of the panels I gently sanded down with a 4000 grit pad. There are other A/C in my collection that I’ll post after I get a better handle on lighting. Still getting used to the digital.
Any constructive criticisms are openly welcomed. Thank you

Cheers
Dave

Whoa, very nice!

Very nice, Dave. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Smart looking Zero! I also look forward to seeing more of your work!

The pics are a little dark & the White Balance is off. You have your camera set for daylight, but shot with incandescent. The build looks real good.

Rick,
Thank you for the input on the camera. Still on the steep end of the learning curve.
Cheers.

Good lookin’ bird [tup]

What scale is it?

Nice work on the Zero. Keep practicing with the camera and you will get better. That is the nice part of digitals, you don’t have to waste a lot of money on film and processing for practice.

Fred,
It is 1/48. It is primarily the scale I work in for A/C. Though I do have a couple of 1/72 kits. I’ve thought about tackling a couple of 1/32 or 1/24 A/C, though I don’t know where in the world I’d put them.

I started out in 1/32 but am moving towards 1/48 for the size reason.

I’m getting some Detolf shelf units from ikea http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=12&langId=-1&productId=85740

They make for some really classy displays and don’t take up a lot of space.

Looks nice, but I believe the vast amount of paint chipping basically just following the panel lines with little additional wear elsewhere makes it look a bit more planned than having a random feel to it. I think it loses some realism there. Otherwise, a fine-looking model! [tup]

Beautifully done Zero. I especially like the weathering around the panel lines.
