what in the world is zimmerit?
I’ve heard like a gazillion people say it but I don’t know it!
I feel like I’m being isolated sobsobsob[BH]

An anti-magnetic paste made out of chemicals and sawdust and applied to GErman WWII armor between 1943 and 1944. It’s purpose was to keep magnetic mines from sticking to the tank. Here is a quick history

It was a German anti-magnetic paste to discourage mines from sticking to the sides of their Panzers. It was used in 43-44. It was discountinued, because of eronious beliefs that it caught on fire when hit by enemy shells.

Of course Jason is a faster typer than I.

Nice job, Steve. What tool did you use to scribe it? And is it one of the two part expoy putties??

Never mind, Steve. I (finally) saw your post on it in your thread…nothing like keeping up with things!

If you are doing smale scale stuff you can etch the zimmerit patern right into the model. Just be careful that techinque is permanentt and so is any mistake.
