Your dream model/diorama

If you had the oppurtunity to make any diorama/model with all the costs paid for by someone else [:p] what would it be?

For me it would have to be a large dio thats 1/35 scale of D-Day i think. Maybe even all 5 beaches [:D].

oh thats easy. dios of pearl harbor (ford island as the focus), hickham field, bellows field, and ewa field. the tough part would be the scale. my heart says 1/48 but logistically 1/700 would be the most successful.

An exact copy of the studio model of the Cygnus from the Black Hole.[:D]

If space and price was not an option it would be a toss up between Pearl Harbor and the Norfolk Naval Yard in 1/350

RC tank of some sort … maybe the new Leopard 2A6 by tamiya …

BUT, i would really like to design and fully detail my own tank [:P]

1/350 Star Trek fleet, maybe the Battle of Chintoka, but I want DS9 too.

For me it would be a diorama detailing the actions of the PPCLI (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry) during the Battle of Ortona, 1943. It would either be set in one of the assaults on “the Gully” or in the ruins of Ortona itself, both would make for really interesting subjects.

If money is not an issue!! Both fleets just prior to launching the initial strikes at Midway in !/350.

For a nonfiction diorama, I would like to do a dio of the fighting at either Kharkov or Kursk.
For a fiction build, I would like to build a dio of the Battle on Hoth or the space battle above Endor.

Either a 1/35 scale Normandy beaches and all, or a 1/72 Pearl Harbor

For me it would definetly halve to be a 1/32 scale Pickets charge at Gettysburg. [:D]

[#ditto] or a Battle of Mobile Bay, or Battleship row at Pearl Harbor.

The wooden horse, with the whole POW camp in 1/35. kinda hard to show the tunnel though with the whole camp. I want to do a cross section of it sometime, though.

Even though i mainly build armor, I would love to do a scene of a working house fire with a full compliment of trucks a personel.

Maybe a battle scene between the Shannon and Chesapeak, or when the Vicotry was crossing the T at Trafalgar. All in 1/48 scale.

It would be a choice between 3; El Alamein, Normady or something from the Battle of Britain and in either 1/72 or 1/48.

It would be a german coast battery in Denmark by the name of Tirpitz. 4 15" guns, pillboxes, AAA, radar, everything in 1/35th scale. I have no idea how big it would be.

I would probably like an imaginary faceoff. If space were no limitation, I’d have one room with a faceoff between a few WWi models, then another table with WWII models, then onto the Cold War, and so on, to the modern era. All in 1/35 scale ofcourse. That’d be amazing. It’d probably fill a couple thousand square feet.

Neat question.

I’d love to do a WWI dogfight to 1/72 scale. The planes would be small enough, and the distances short enough, that I would probably only need one room in my house to stage the thing. [:D]

Regards,

I’d want a 1/350 scale Pearl Harbor, and a warehouse big enough to keep it in.
