I’m plannig on building a YF-16 using Revell Monogram’s 1/48 scale F-16 kit. However, it (naturally) only has standard F-16 decals, and not the YF-16’s decals. Does anyone know if some company makes YF-16 decals for 1/48 scale? thanks.

Monogram released a F-16 in 1/48 scale in the mid 70’s that was a pre production model. It had the two piece nose gear door as used on the YF and pre production models. The nose was flat and pointed like the YF. It has the strut inside the intake as well as the smaller intakes. Even the seat is the type used in the YF. It is kit # 5401. You might be able to find it on e-bay or other web sites. It has the decals for the YF and FSD aircraft.

A few years back I know Super Scale had the decals for the YF & F prototype markings, but I dought you might find them in the local hobby shops, but you could try this guy I here he does great work

If I’m not mistaken, I thought I also saw them at my local hobby shop the other day.
Now you want to see a shop that has decals[:p][;)]. Anywho, I’ll have a look see for ya.
