Yellow Wings decals got my color streak ashaking

My mother claims I was raised to have quiet, subdued WASPy taste, but it all goes down the dumper when it comes to airplanes. I like color. I want color all over everything like an explosion in a PEZ factory.
And to tickle that fancy, I just got a big handful of Yellow Wings sheets in the mail today. For those not familiar, the man who makes them only specializes in US Navy a/c, 1930-1941, thus the name of the company. He sent several sheets for Dauntless -1’s, Brewster Buffalos, Vindicators (anticipating the AcMin kit) and Devastators. I held the chevrons up against some of the period paint chips that are in back of the Monogram Publishing painting history for these aircraft and they are dead on. The squadron insignia are in perfect register. If you like building U.S. Navy planes from this period, check out the Yellow Wings web site at www.yellow-wingsdecals.com. They are printed by Microscale.

I just got my two Vindicator sheets a few days ago, also anticipating the Acc Min kit. I agree, they are ver nicely done.

Thanks for the link and the news. I love this period and can’t wait to see his 1/72 line.
Your report on quality is very encouraging.
