I am putting together a Yak-40. Will be painted gloss white. What colour should the landing bays be? Any help would be great.

I have made progress on my build, though no much.

White is done. Yes!! (fist pump)

I have completed the taping process using 100% Frog Tape. I would like to avoid any and all chance of running navy blue paint on to my pristine white coat. I have taped so much because the decals that I received with the kit were, most notably, bent in half. I couldn’t bring myself to use the wounded, and faded, blue prints.

So my opinion of Frog Tape is sincerely lessened. The over-spray and bleed was much worse then your every-day modellers tape. I am not impressed.

I have had a change of heart. After much brain-draining, I decided to paint by hand the white and blue stripes. I am using tape (not Frog Tape) to isolate the space. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the lines are generally straight.
