Xtracrylix thinning

Hi Everyone,

I’ve not been on these forums for a while…its good to be back!

I have recently been switching to acrylic paints and have discovered a neat trick to thinning Xtracrylix from Hannants that I thought I must share with fellow builders.

I tried various methods all with varying degrees of success.

But the best way I found was using good old tap water, BUT…it must be warm tap water, just like you’d use for decalling. Don’t know why…but it seems to work a treat.

FYI I use a Ripmax compressor set a 10-15 psi and an Iwata HP-C Revolution airbrush, the thinning ratio was 50:50

Hope this helsp people here!

regards,

Mike.

Have you ever tried distilled water warmed up?
